In the course of doing
research, one always finds great resources to note and
then revisit periodically! Below is our list (current as of
the date is listed at the bottom!) organized by location -- it
does not include all the sites ever visited or used.
Some of these are tried and true resources, some are high profile and
some are more obscure! This list is ever-evolving as resources
come and go and as our research progresses. Maybe one of these will make a difference to
your research! |

There are several Genealogy e-mail
newsletters that we receive. "Family Tree Magazine" provides a
news service edition that we can share with you. Though we
recommend you subscribe to this newsletter, if you don't, you will
always find some relevant current bit presented on this page . |

National Archives Canada plans to have digitized images of passenger lists in a database online for almost every port of entry for the years 1865 to 1921. This work is part of a larger virtual exhibit entitled, "Moving Here, Staying Here: The Canadian Immigrant Experience." The first images should be online by year's end. Currently there are no plans for the Archives to include a name index to these records...The first part of this index is already available online: Quebec Ports for the periods 2 Jul 1908 to 5 Jun 1909, 25 Jul 1909 to 13 May 1910 and 17 Sep 1910 to 13 Oct 1910. For more information or to view the partial index already available, go to http://members.shaw.ca/nanaimo.fhs
